In my time away from this board, I've read what David Siegel has written about The Witch's Tale. He is no doubt the world's leading expert on the program. (I'd love to hear from him!) In Siegel's introduction to his book on the subject, he writes that Cole preferred to be called "Deen" and that "Alonzo was only used by folks who did not know him" (p. 4)
